Oftentimes, when I have leftover paint from a larger project, I’ll just use it up with whatever pops into my mind. Usually flowers. Sometimes cats.

These flowers took residence permanently in my brain about 20 years ago when I worked at a plant nursery. Coconut Lime Echinacea. I’ve planted them in my own garden a few times over the years, but they haven’t always loved me. Ah, unrequited love.
